Spring makeup edit

Sping is almost here, and today when leaving work I couldnt believe how much of a bright and sunny day it was!

Spring calls for a few changes in my makeup bag and here are some of the things I have already started using, or will be using more regularly in the next few weeks. Im thinking fresh glowy skin, neutral eyes and pink tones for my cheeks and lips.

Mac cream colour base in 'Hush'
My friend Jasmina introduced me to this cream highlighter last year and although I dont use it often, I really like it. It is quite a subtle highlighter but adds a lovely pink-ish glow to the cheeks.

Bourjois city radiance foundation
I have been using this foundation on and off for a couple of weeks now. Its definately not as full coverage as I usually wear but it does have a medium and buildable coverage with a lovely glowy and fresh feeling finish. I think for Spring and Summer when ive got good skin and no breakouts this is going to be perfect.

Stila eyes are the window palette in 'Spirit'
This palette has a good mixture of colours for Spring. I love the light shades on the left for a nice day time eye look and the rose gold shade in the middle is just beautiful. I cant wait to experiment more with this palette this season.

Nars Turkish delight lipgloss
Although I do love matte lips, I feel like I need a change. This is one of my all time favourite lip glosses. It is a light pink which isnt sticky at all and looks great over most pink or even nude lipsticks.

Nars audacious lipstick in 'Anita'
Although this looks quite dark in the picture its actually a really nice medium dusky pink. I love the formula of these Nars lipsticks, they arent drying at all and they last for ages on my lips. I love this kind of soft pink colour and I think the gloss will look perfect on top.

Charlotte Tilbury blusher in 'Love is the drug'
I was going through my collection the other day looking for a nice pink blusher and completly forgot I had this. This isnt really shimmery but it does add some sort of nice healthy glow. I wore this for the first time in ages the other day and got complimented twice on my blusher. I love how it has a mix of 2 shades of pink so I can adjust how dark or intense I want it.

And lastly I thought I would include one of my 'Library of fragrance' scents in 'Sunshine'. Due to saving for a house we arent having a holiday this year so ill spray this whenever I feel sad or jealous of people going on holiday LOL. Joke aside, this is a unique summery and sweet scent. Think vanilla ice cream, suncream, sea salt and coconut.

What are you Spring makeup must haves? Let me know in the comments!

February Favourites

know everyone says it but I literally cant believe its the end of another month, this year is going so fast already! Heres the products ive been loving throughout February.

Anastasia self made palette
I love how versatile this palette is. You can create so many different eye combinations but for daytime I have been loving the shade 'sherbert' in the crease or all over my lid with 'Buttery' to highlight my brow bone and inner corner. For more smokey looks I add 'Hot Chocolate to the outer V and lower lash line. And I am literally OBSESSED with the shade 'Pink Champagne' Amazing.

Bourjois air mat foundation
This has been my most worn foundation of the month. I have two shades, 3 and 4 and I switch them up depending on weather I have fake tan on or not. I love the medium to full coverage this gives and the matte finish but most of all it is SO long lasting. I can wear this all day without touching it up.

Mac blusher in Desert Rose
I have been wearing this blusher alot recently. I love that it is matte as sometimes I go a bit OTT on the highlighter so having a matte blusher kind of balances that out! The shade is a medium dusky pink and it looks really natural on the cheeks and compliments most makeup looks.

Maybelline age rewind concealer
I took SO long to give in to the hype of this concealer and I am so glad I finally purchased this. I love the soft spongy applicator (even though it can get a little messy) but it blends out really nicely and has good coverage without being cakey at all. This works really well under my eyes but also really well on my face too.

Soap and Glory Scrub of your life
Being a girl that wears fake tan regularly this product has been a life saver and is one of my favourite ever exfoliators. This really helps scrub off all my patchy built up tan and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth without being too harsh.

Anastasia brow wiz in taupe
I always said I could never use a pencil on my brows. Ive tried them in the past (literally years ago) and couldnt get the hang of it so avoided them for so long. My sister got me this for Christmas and I love it! It did take a bit of practise as I am so used to cream brow products but if I am in a rush this is my go to brow product. This helps me get a really nice shape and the colour taupe is perfect for me.

So thats my favourite products for February! What products have you been loving?

My favourite cream makeup products

Hi everyone,
I think sometimes the average person is a little scared of using cream products, especially things like cream highlighters and blushers. I always get asked how to use them and what to apply them with. Im not going to lie i do think they require a little more thought in the morning, just due to having to properly work them into the skin and then remembering to apply all your cream products before you apply your powder. If I do have some extra time to properly do my makeup without rushing I love creams. My skin is sometimes a little dull and dehydrated and I feel cream products really bring my skin to life and add a little glow.

Chanel soleil tan de Chanel bronze universel
This bronzer is literally one of my favourite ever products. I dont use it too often but when I do I fall back in love with it everytime and ask myself why I dont just use it every single day?! I cant explain it but my skin when I use this just looks fresh, healthy and almost airbrushed. I apply this to the outside areas of my face and a little onto my cheeks using a Real Techniques stippling brush.

Mac cream colour base pearl
This white frosty cream highlighter from Mac is stunning and can be applied softly for a gorgeous strobed look or intensified if you prefer. I find this is best applied with my fingers to really warm up the product and work it into my skin.

Charlotte Tilbury eyes to mesmerise in Bette
This is literally one of my fave cream eyeshadows. It is a gorgeous bronze colour. This really works for nice daytime looks or smokey night looks. I love it just all over the lid and blended out for the day time with just mascara or paired with darker shadows for a bronze smokey effect.

MUA whipped velvet blush in SPRY
I remember picking this up randomly one day last year and I am so glad I did. These blushes are so creamy and easy to blend, and I love this colour inparticular as its a soft almost natural pink which works with pretty much any makeup look. The best part is that this only costs £3!! I keep meaning to pick up more colours as I really love the formula of this one and how nice it looks on my skin.

Illamasqua gel sculpt in silhouette
Out of all the cream contours I have tried this is by far my fave. It looks super dark just looking at it but when you apply it to your cheeks and blend it out it just creates a natural shadow, and it builds really nicely so you can make your contour however intense you like.

What are your favourite cream makeup products? Let me know in the comments!

January Favourites 2016

So its the first favourites of the year! I always love reading about everyones January faves because theres loads of new exciting things that people have been using from Christmas! Mine includes a few Christmas presents but also some old rediscoveries and some new buys.

Oskia renaissance cleansing gel £28
I mentioned in my new year makeup resolutions post about trying some more premium skincare and one thing ive been using this past month is this Oskia renaissance cleansing gel. This costs £28 from Space NK which is the most expensive cleanser I have ever had but I kept hearing so many good things that I had to try it. I take off the bulk of my makeup first with some micellar water then go in with this afterwards. It literally melts off any remaining makeup, smells lovely and leaves your skin feeling soft, clean and glowy.

Urban Decay lipstick in 'rush' £15.50
This is the first lipstick from Urban Decay that ive had and I am so impressed that I really want to try more. This is a gorgeous mauve-pink shade with a creamy finish. It stays on my lips for ages and is actually really moisturising which is perfect for my dry lips. I love wearing this with my fave Mac lip pencil; Soar.

Smashbox primer water £20
This is a product that gets raved about so much but I put off getting it for so long! 'But its just water' I kept thinking to myself! I finally decided to ask for this as a gift for Christmas and honestly im in love. After moisturising I literally drench my dehydrated skin in this and wait for it to dry. I feel like it really prepares my skin for makeup application and makes my skin look more dewy. I love to spray it on after my makeup aswell to stop things looking cakey and to further hydrate my skin.

Makeup Academy highlighter in pink shimmer £3
Ive had his highlighter for so long, probably about a year but never really paid attention to it. This past month ive been using it loads and its now one of my fave highlighters. This costs £3 from Superdrug which is obviously a complete bargain and I love that has a pink tone to it as I dont have anything else like it in my collection. I either use this on its own with my fave Zoeva bamboo highlight brush or spritz my brush with my Smashbox primer water (above) for a seriously intense glow.

Urban Decay naked concealer £17.50
After hearing every youtuber and blogger rave about this I finally decided to purchase. I got this a few months ago and have used it almost every day since. The coverage is amazing yet it isnt cakey for undereye use, which is what I got it for. I got the shade light neutral which is the perfect shade to lighten and brighten under my eyes.

Lush I love juicy shampoo £5.75
I have very fine flat hair which gets greasy quickly. I spotted this in Lush about a month ago and noticed that it said it was good for product build up, which I have due to using dry shampoo everyday! This has a gorgeous fruity mango smell and leaves my hair feeling super clean and soft.

Laura Mercier almond coconut milk body creme £49 for set of 6
I have wanted a Laura Mercier body cream for literally years but couldnt jusify spending £45 on one myself when I literally have a draw full of other body creams and lotions! I noticed the christmas gift set of 6 mini ones in Space NK and decided straight away they were going on my Christmas list. With 6 to choose from I can decide which scents I like the most and they look so cute lined up on my shelf! This almond coconut milk one is by far my favourite one and I will for sure be purchasing the full size. I love the smell of almond and this smells exactly like my favourite body butter from The Body Shop which has sadly been discontinued *cries*

H&M lipsticks | So Cocoa and Seashell

The H&M beauty launch/re-launch in 2015 was something I got a bit excited about, as did everyone else.
The price, packaging and quality is just amazing for a high street brand and I cant wait to expland my H&M collection more in 2016.
I own quite a few of the single eyeshadows which I LOVE but I currenrly only have 2 of the lipsticks, which are shown in this post and cost £7.99 each.

So Cocoa
So Cocoa is a dark brown shade, with a hint of burgandy and creamy finish. I wanted a dark brown lipstick for ages and this is gorgeous. I personally feel it suits me more when I am a little more tanned.

Seashell is a peachy-pink lipstick, a really good lipstick for everyday wear. I like to pair it with Soar lip pencil from Mac, which is a bit darker.

I think one of my favourite things about H&M beauty is the packaging. The white and gold just looks stunning displayed in my lipstick holder. The lipsticks are really pigmented and go on really smoothly. The lasting time isnt the best ive ever tried but for the price, and the colour range on offer I cant complain. Next on my list is 'Ablaze' which is a gorgeous bright red.

Im really looking forward to trying more makeup from H&M. Ive heard amazing things about the concealer and I obviously want to purchase more eyeshadows.

Have you tried any makeup items from H&M?

Zoeva Bamboo Brushes

I think its safe to say that my favourite brand for makeup brushes is Zoeva. Not only are they soft and amazing quality but they look beautiful! I already own both of the Rose Golden brush sets which I am still completly in love with but for my birthday before Christmas I recieved 3 brushes from the 'bamboo' range. I decided against getting the full collection as there were some brushes in there that I really didnt need so I finally decided on these three.

These brushes look just as gorgeous as my rose gold ones displayed on my makeup dresser, with the gold detailing and bamboo handles. The actual bristles are half white and half light brown. So far I have had no shredding with these brushes, and they wash just fine without the brush shape altering in any way.

First we have the 104 buffer brush which is my absolute fave shape and type of brush for applying my foundation. It is quite a dense and compact brush but I find the large flat head amazing for buffing in my foundation.

Next I have the 105 highlight brush which of course I use for applying my highlighter. I like this brush as it doesnt pick up too much product so you can do a nice subtle highlight and build it up to however intense you like.

Finally I have the 228 crease brush, because you can never have too many crease brushes! I like this one for applying my actual crease colour, and then I take a larger more fluffy brush to blend it out with.

I absolutly love these brushes and I think the design is just stunning. Next on my list is the Bamboo Face shape 110 brush which looks like it would be really good for applying cream contour products.

I would love for Zoeva to bring out some copper brushes, as everyone loves copper at the moment and I think some copper brushes would be amazing!

Do you have any Zoeva Brushes? Which are your faves?
