Micellar water: Comparisons and reviews

Hi everyone :)

As mentioned previously, this year I have really been loving trying new skincare products and I thought I would do a post on the 3 micellar waters I have tried up to now. Micellar water is a fairly new product for me, I only tried my first one around 6 months ago and I am now on my 3rd bottle. Basically micellar water is a product which helps remove makeup, dirt etc from the skin without the need for rinsing off. If you google 'what is micellar water' you will find a very in depth scientific article about what it is but let's just say it does the job haha. I use micellar water as a 'pre-cleanse' just to remove the main bulk of my makeup before going onto a face wash or scrub etc.

The first one I ever tried was the Garnier cleansing water.
I think this was on offer at the time for around £3.33 although the usual price is around £5. You get a massive 400ml for your money and this is biggest bottle of all 3 I have tried, double the amount infact. The bottle states that you can get 200 uses. Since this was the first one I tried I didn't really have anything to compare it to at the time. I would say I just liked it, not loved. It removed makeup and dirt well and didn't irritate my skin. Although after now trying all 3 I would say out of all of them it did dry out my skin a little bit. Would I purchase again? Probably yes, simply because of the amount you get for your money.

The 2nd one I purchased was the B Pure micellar water.
This is the smallest of the 3 at just 150ml and I remember like the Garnier one it was on offer for around  £3.30 but usually £4.99. This one was especially good at actually removing more makeup, I found with this one I used considerably less cotton pads than with the other waters. I really liked it but with it only being small it didn't last long.

Finally I am currently using the Superdrug vitamin E gentle micellar solution.
I have been using this for the past week now and I think it is my favourite! This was the cheapest of the 3 at only £2.99 for 200ml. This contains vitamin E, which I am loving for my skin at the moment. I have been using other skincare products containing vitamin E for example the range from The Body Shop and it has really made a difference to my skin. This micellar water is for normal to dry skin and is high in antioxidants. It also defends the skin against environmental damage which all sounds great to me! After using this my skin feels SO soft and really helps hydrate my skin. Also the biggest thing for me is the smell of this. The other 2 literally have no scent whatsoever but this one smells like VANILLA it is amazing!!! Obviously some people don't like scents in makeup and skin products but personally I love it. Like I said I have only been using this for 1 week so we shall see how it goes but as of now this is by far my favourite.

Have you tried any of these micellar waters? Do you have any others you would recommend? Let ,e know in the comments :)
