Review | Charlotte Tilbury wonder glow

In 2014 my love for Charlotte Tilbury makeup was born. I have always admired her work as a makeup artist and have watched her videos on YouTube over and over again. I honestly love every single item of hers that I have ever purchased and it is by far one of my favourite makeup brands. Today I am going to take about Wonder Glow; Instant soft focus beauty flash. This is £38.50 and available from Selfridges or

It was actually one of Charlottes own YouTube videos which swayed me to get this product. As she applied it onto the model it literally transformed her skin into a plump healthy glowy looking canvas ready for makeup.. It looked amazing!

First of all the packaging is stunning.. Who doesn't love rose gold?! This comes in a squeeze tube type bottle and contains 40ml. The texture is more of a light cream rather than a gel or silicone consistency found in a lot of primers. The colour is a light gold champagne with shimmer, although don't let this put you off, the shimmer is subtle but effective.

The amazing thing about this product is that it actually contains a LOT of skincare benefits, making part skincare and part makeup. And I definately love anything that improves my skin whilst wearing it. It helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with BioNymph and improves skin elasticity. It also contains extracts of wild pansy which promotes the renewal of Hyaluronic acid in the skin surface. This in turn helps with dehydrated skin and fills the skin with moisture. Charlotte States on her website that "Collagen-boosting peptides and patented wrinkle preventing ingredients are fused with light reflecting microspheres with a fluorescent core that fill in wrinkles and scatter light to blur away lines and flood skin with luminosity"
So not only is your skin looking amazing, it is being looked after also.

I do find that my skin sometimes just looks a bit dull and lifeless. I first apply this all over my skin after my serum and daily moisturiser. Instantly my pores look less visable and I have a lovely natural healthy looking glow and plumped radiant skin. I also like to add a small amount of this to my foundation, as a lot of my foundations have a matte finish. I love the look my skin has after using this and I was once asked if I have had Botox!! When I asked why she replied that my skin looked very plump and beautiful!

This also works well over foundation, although I don't do it often, applying it onto cheekbones, down the nose and on the brow bone with a beauty blender is a great pick me up for tired looking skin or if you need to bring your skin back to life if you are heading out after work or something.

Overall I LOVE this product and would 100% repurchase. I get complimented on my skin when I wear this and with the amazing skincare benefits it provides I will continue to wear it for as long as possible!

Have you tried the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder glow? What are your thoughts?

  1. I am dying to try out a CT product but they're just so expensive - it's worth it though if you find a product you love! This looks amazing!
