Skincare | Nip + Fab

After a solid 2 months of usage I am now on my 3rd tub of the amazing Nip + Fab glycolic fix exfoliating facial pads These were the first things I tried from the brand and from these alone I was hooked and knew I had to see what other products Nip + Fab had to offer.

Along with a new tub of the pads I went ahead and purchased 2 more things; the deep cleansing fix cream and the dragons blood fix plumping serum.

Glycolic fix exfoliating facial pads:
For years i exfoliated my skin using a harsh scrub and I used to think it hurt because it was doing a good job! My skin often felt very dry and sore afterwards and after reading in Sali Hughes' book 'Pretty Honest' that harsh facial scrubs like that were not very good for your skin that I went looking for an alternative facial exfoliator. These pads are soaked in glycolic acid (don't let the word acid scare you, it's a good acid!) which removes dead skin cells and retextures and resurfaces the skin. They also contain Hyaluronic acid which moisturises the skin and is especially good for dehydrated skin which is what I have. They also contain blue daisy which soothes and calms. I use these just in the morning after cleansing and they help reveal gorgeous new radiant skin ready for makeup application. I also find they have helped fade some acne scarring which I had on my cheeks!

Deep cleansing fix cream:
Even though I absolutely love my Body Shop camomile cleansing butter, I am ready to try something new. Nip + Fab describe this as 'a multi purpose moisturising cream which melts away makeup and deeply cleanses pores, for a clear and fresh complexion' This contains sweet almond oil which nourishes and smooths your skin, as well as tea tree oil which cleanses your pores. I have literally just tried this for the first time before writing this blog post and so far I like it. It feels strange at first, it's quite a thick cream and it kind of feels like you are just putting a really thick moisturiser on like E45 or something?! It also has quite a strong eucalyptus minty scent so if you don't like scents in skincare then you may not like this. The scent didn't bother me to be honest and after massaging it all over my face I removed it using a muslin cloth and warm water. It removed all of my face makeup and I was left with soft smooth clean skin. It didn't remove my eye makeup as well as my other cleansers but I simply used a cotton pad and some Micellar water to do this afterwards. I'll continue to use this and keep you posted with my thoughts.

Dragons blood fix plumping serum:
For the past couple of months I have been using a Superdrug own brand vitamin E serum. It did not impress me at all, infact I don't even think it did anything so after seeing that this contained Hyaluronic I knew I wanted to try it. If you didn't know, Hyaluronic acid helps retain water within skin cells, resulting in gorgeous hydrated plump and healthy looking skin. Dehydrated skin and dry skin are 2 different things, dehydrated skin lacks water and dry skin lacks moisture. I myself have dehydrated skin so products containing Hyaluronic acid are a saviour for me. I have been using this for 3 days now both morning and evening and notice instantly that my skin appears more soft, plump and healthy looking.

I can't wait to continue using these and I would love to try more Nip + Fab products.

Have you tried anything from Nip + Fab? Let me know in the comments!
